RESIST THE PINNACLE’S TOUR GUIDE.

FROM THE PINNACLE’S EYE.
James 1:14,
But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.

While in our blessed life moments, we oftenly pass through many fierce challenges which may veer us out of the way and our reward is withdrawn. We may find ourselves trying to climb a tree from top to bottom instead of doing it from bottom to top.
In this beautiful garden of God’s wheat, another counterfeit sower coveteouslly waits to plant his almost similar tares. But the real sower has the power to discern between wheat and tares, For the wheat to grow and bear fruit, the farmer must provide all the requirements necessary for growth and fruit bearing. In the Christian journey, God is always our driver but the dragon attraction features lie everywhere besides our way. As Christians we live among the wicked people people in the society. How many times have they sneaked in our spiritual vehicles?

AT THE WILDERNESS OF DECISION MAKING. Matthew 4.

The scenario of the temptation here is over, above the holy city, it’s a dangerous countenance, why does the devil carry Jesus all the way from the desert to this place? Could this be the reason why some lessons have both theory and practical sessions?, The tempter’s agenda was to control the thinking of the God turned man and make his concentration dwell most on what he sees. “Offer the devil a ride and he will always want to be the driver”
By the way why is Jesus wasting time and what do we learn from his example?
Is changing changing stones into bread a sin?
Is having position and wealth illegal?

DO YOU OWN A POSITION?

Matthew 4:5, Then the devil took Him to the holy city and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple. 6“If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written:
‘He will command His angels concerning You,
and they will lift You up in their hands,
so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.
Has the devil taken you to some dangerous situations? What funny things has he tempted you to do?

DANGEROUS SLIPPERY PEAKS.

Sometimes when we own high positions in the society, our grounds might be coloured with the devil’s scenarios of attraction. Our eyes may dwell most on what we see than on what its meant for. We love and envy those who are wealthy amongst us. Little do we know how much they are suffering to sustain their temporary stay on the pinnacle. Why is their journey starting from the desert to the pinnacle and not vice versa? Have you ever fasted and returned back home calculating how much food you will consume because of the time ‘wasted’ in your fasting?. Jesus would have calculated the calories lost in the wilderness and give in to the temporary promises. But miscalculations would have caused a fatal landing if Jesus would have accepted the tricky idea.

IMAGES ZOOMED IN.

At the top of the pinnacle we may become wealthy in stead of blessed,
At the top of the pinnacle we might be influential,
At the top of the pinnacle we may stand famous,
At the top of the pinnacle we may enjoy and get satisfied.
But at the top of the pinnacle, the place is dangerous, slight sliding from the top would alert the dwellers of the city that some funny guys are dying and maybe the city problems are over. Do we sometimes forget that at the top of the pinnacle is God’s sanctification and honor and not a place for our own righteousness and self approval?. At whichever position that God might have given you to serve in his temple, just know that high positions are always fainty. But Jesus remained composed, he did not fear falling, he did not hold on the tempter in order to maintain his position for he was already grounded on his Father.

EASY CONFORMATION

We sometimes inquire from our friends, the witch or use our money to bribe in order to remain on top of the pinnacle but God is the foundation of the pinnacle while the tempter is just like a passerby bird promising us that which temporarily belongs to him. His aim is to divert us from the one who owes our allegiance.
While on top of the pinnacle, remember what you said about the stone and the bread.
While on top of the pinnacle calculate the distance from the top to the bottom, know how slippery it is and ask Jesus to hold you.
While on top of the pinnacle, know that you have just travelled spiritually halfway, the next temptation will prove whether you will balance between the holy city and the cares of this world.
As you sit on top of the pinnacle, what has the dragon eye tabled before you? Zoom it out of your camera and resist the tour guide.
